Do you think they will ever add a new historical doll to the collection again? I don't count the friend dolls because they do not represent a different time in history. I really wish they would add an Asian doll. I am surprised that this is a race that they have not touched on much at all.

You know... it's scary when you start thinking that a girl that grew up with me could be the next historical doll...
I am all for a "flower power" AG!!!!!
Can you imagine the books??!! So much to tell about the growing pains of a country (and the world?)
I sure hope they would be doing it some time!

I hope they do an historical asain, myself. But I hope they don't use the Jess mold. They eventually will have to do an new historical. But looking at Elizabeth I almost shudder at what they might do. I only want a new histirical if it has the quality that equals the ones before them, not Elizabeth's lack of quality. To me, Elizabeth's clothes do not have that ring of historicalness (is that a word?) that some others have, like Kit's Bday dress. Your like, whoa, 1930's! Or Samantha's scholl dress. Elizabthe's look like, oh what a cute, inexpensive costume for the school play.

Of course I may be alone in this opinion.

I want a 1960s doll!!!!!!

I've been wanting one ever since I learned about AG. I know many people would say that's too recent but not to 8-12 year olds. So much interesting and important stuff happened they could easily write 6 books and then some about 1964-1966 or 1963-1965(since 1964 would be the target date). I'd love to see her collection too. Maybe she'd have a record player or a spaceman toy.

I agree with you lordofthepumpkinpatch. Felicity's clothes represented her time so well by using earth tones and colors found in nature. With Elizabeth they have made all her dresses too standoutish by using hot pink and now lime green. These colors take away from the dress. The colors would not have been realistic of the times. I too would be afraid of what they might do to a new historical.

I'd like a 1950s doll, a younger and cleaned up version of "Grease". I think that would be enormous fun.

With the LA store opening and the fact that I agree they need an Asian historical doll, I hope if they come out with a new one, they make it based on the California Gold rushes, or TransContential Railroad with a focus on the Asian immigrants that helped to build the west.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I agree. I think it is a very good idea and I also think she would sell well, which-as we all know-is what Mattel is after.
